Delivery Policy – ROMET UK
At ROMET UK, we aim to deliver your order quickly, safely, and securely.
Our delivery policy complies with UK consumer law to ensure transparency and fairness.
1. Delivery Options
1.1. Collect in Store – FREE

Please allow up to 24 hours for your order to be ready for collection.

You can always contact us to check if a quicker collection is possible.

When collecting in person, you must provide your order confirmation.
What we do before handover:
-
Our technicians will assemble and configure the bike to your preferences.
-
We’ll schedule a convenient collection time and notify you.
-
During handover, we’ll demonstrate the bike’s functions and make any necessary adjustments.
Boxed & Unbuilt – FREE (Excluding Electric Bikes)
Your non-electric bike is delivered boxed, but before shipping we perform the following checks:

Completeness — all accessories and components match the factory specifications.

Condition — frame, moving parts, and paintwork carefully inspected.
-
E-bikes excluded — this delivery option is not available for electric bikes due to required pre-delivery inspections and safety checks.
Assembly requirement:
To maintain full warranty rights, the bike must be assembled and adjusted at a qualified bike shop or workshop in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
This assembly must be confirmed and stamped in the warranty card included with the bike.
Pre-Assembled Option (with PDI Report) – £49.99
Due to courier restrictions in the UK, we cannot ship fully built bikes in oversized boxes.
Instead, we fully assemble, configure, and test your bike before dispatch, and then partially disassemble it for safe transport.
What we do before shipping
Your bike is fully assembled and checked by a Cytech-approved technician:

Full gear and brake adjustments

All screw connections torque-checked
-
Final safety inspection performed
-
PDI Report provided — confirming correct assembly, required for full Romet UK warranty.
How the bike is shipped
For courier handling, the bike is partially disassembled after all checks:

Front wheel removed
-
Handlebars detached
-
Pedals not pre-fitted
What you need to do upon delivery
Reassembly is minimal and does not affect your warranty:

Attach the front wheel
-
Position and secure the handlebars
-
Fit the pedals
To maintain full warranty rights, this option includes a PDI Report proving the bike was professionally assembled and safety-checked prior to shipping.
2. Responsibility for Goods
We take responsibility for the goods until delivery is completed at the address provided.

Upon receipt, check the package carefully.
-
If the packaging is visibly damaged, we strongly advise signing the delivery note as “Damaged” and taking photos before opening.

Claims for transit damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Note:
Failure to report damage within this timeframe may limit our ability to process replacements or refunds.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
3. Failed Deliveries & Re-Deliveries

If a delivery attempt fails due to an incorrect address or refusal of the parcel, you may be charged for re-delivery costs.

If a parcel is returned after multiple failed attempts, we reserve the right to deduct shipping costs from any refund.
4. Returns of Damaged or Faulty Goods

If goods arrive faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we arrange free collection and either:

send a replacement, or
-
provide a full refund.

Returned items must include, where reasonably possible, the original packaging, manuals, and accessories.
- If the product shows misuse, improper assembly, or unauthorised modifications, we reserve the right to reduce or refuse a refund.
5. International Deliveries
Currently, we deliver within the UK mainland only.
6. Weekend Deliveries

No weekend deliveries.
-
Orders placed over the weekend are processed on Monday.
7. Tracking Your Delivery
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with tracking details and courier information, allowing you to monitor the parcel in real-time.
8. Delivery Delays
If your order is delayed, please:

Check your tracking number, or

9. Signature Requirement
A signature is required on delivery unless you’ve arranged a specific safe place with us beforehand.
