The Monsun 2 bike has been in Romet’s offer for some time now, proving itself as a reliable XC weapon, suitable for marathons as well. The year 2024 brings a new version of the Monsun, incorporating all contemporary standards that make it up-to-date in this category.
The Monsun 2 features a carbon fiber frame – a material utilized in all advanced MTB bikes. Carbon fiber ensures a good frame stiffness, power transfer, and keeps the heart of this bike lightweight. The Monsun’s geometry meets all modern XC racing bike standards. The tapered head tube provides stability during descents, while the Boost 148 system offers a contemporary solution for connecting the frame to the rear wheel.
The bike’s fork, the Rockshox Reba RL, has a 15/110 mm thru axle, an air spring, rebound damping adjustment, and handlebar remote lockout
The Monsun is equipped with a Sram NX 1×12 drivetrain- a modern system with a wide range 11-51 cassette. The derailleur features chain stabilisation system via a very efficient clutch.
The Monsun’s brakes are hydraulic Sram Level T with 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors.
The bike is equipped with lightweight aluminium wheels from the Italian company Ursus, and what’s quite unusual in bikes in this price range – the carbon seat post, handlebar, and stem.
Traction and grip are provided by Michelin tires.
