The 1.0 TRK – a full-blooded Modeco, but in a budget-friendly package.
The Modeco bicycles represent a completely new range of products in the Romet offer for the 2024 year. We have several of them in our offer, at different prices and with different specifications.
If we want to describe Modeco in one sentence, it would sound like this: versatile, modern, advanced bicycles for everyday universal touring or commuter use. The Modeco TRK is the youngest budget sibling in the Modeco collection. Budget-friendly doesn’t mean bad. It means built based on simpler but still fully functioning components, in which the set includes everything that creates the essence of this series of bicycles.

The Modeco TRK is offered in a classic satin graphite finish and a more attention-grabbing red. A lot of effort was put into the aesthetic aspect during the frame production – it has polished welds, which ensure smooth transitions between individual frame tubes. The end result – in combination with painting – makes a sensational impression at this price range. The Modeco TRK has a low-step frame – this greatly facilitates getting on and off the bike, especially when riding in regular outfit that is not as close to the skin as typical cycling clothing.
The TRK is a full package, just like the other Modeco models: integrated lights operated from the controller – easy and intuitive access! In addition, the standard equipment includes a set of full mudguards, an integrated kickstand, and an Atranvelo rack, which is part of a great and wide range of urban/trekking bike equipment – bags, panniers, baskets, useful for daily bike use. What distinguishes Atranvelo accessories is the quick and very easy mounting system.
The TRK is a bike designed with an emphasis on comfort, and the feature list is very long: a suspension fork, a suspension seatpost, comfortable ergonomic handlebar grips, a comfortable saddle, and an adjustable stem. In terms of comfort, TRK lacks absolutely nothing.
However, one of the most important things to write about this bike is its assistance system: Romet has opted for a classic and trouble-free solution. It consists of a 250 rear hub motor and a 504 Wh battery placed inside the downtube. The hub motor equals simplicity and reliability, and the downtube battery is a low center of gravity, which positively affects the bike’s stability. Regarding components and equipment, Romet has chosen a trouble-free package, with brakes and drivetrain from Shimano. You’ll stop thanks to hydraulic brakes, and gear changes are handled by components from the Altus and Acera 1×9 – a popular, cost-effective, and trouble-free kit. Despite its very favorable price, the TRK is not a compromise in any aspect – the tires are 47c Michelin Protek with puncture protection belt. For £1549, you get a very well thought out, advanced bike that is an absolute market leader considering the quality-price ratio.
And such a bike can only be purchased from Romet UK!
